Iona CollegeLocated on a beautiful, 45-acre campus in New Rochelle, approximately 20 miles north of Midtown Manhattan, Iona offers nearly 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students an intimate academic program taught by dedicated faculty, not teaching assistants – with a student-faculty ratio of 15:1.  Iona is a diverse community of learners and scholars dedicated to academic excellence in the tradition of the Christian Brothers (who founded the College in 1940) and American Catholic higher education. The College is committed to educating lifelong learners who embody the values of justice, peace and service. Iona offers more than 45 undergraduate majors (BA, BS and BBA degrees), over 30 minors, and more than 30 graduate program possibilities.  An honors program is available for the most academically gifted students, with a course of study designed to develop intellectual curiosity, analytic abilities, and awareness of ethical and civic responsibilities.

Iona College is one of the most highly accredited colleges in the state of New York and holds several prestigious national accreditations in business (AACSB), social work (CSWE), teacher education (NCATE), computer science (ABET), journalism and mass communication (ACEJMC), psychology (NASP), chemistry (ACS) and marriage and family therapy (COAMFTE).  In addition, Iona’s Samuel Rudin Academic Resource Center is accredited by the National Tutoring Association and by the College Reading and Learning Association.
